New World Metro, Takapuna are on the lookout for an Assistant Store Manager to join the team.

This is an incredible opportunity for an experienced Department Manager who’s ready to take the next step and develop themselves within New World. You’ll work closely with a hands-on Store Manager, giving you the chance to strengthen your operational knowledge, grow your confidence in team management, and prepare for future career opportunities.

The Role

As Assistant Store Manager you will plan, lead, communicate, organise, and control the day-to-day running of the store to achieve the highest possible standards. With a focus on driving operational excellence, you’ll lead from the front and not be afraid to get your hands dirty when needed.

• Create, drive, and deliver customer experiences worth driving past the competition for.
• Lead a team of 24 providing them with an awesome place to work and grow.
• Deliver strong commercial growth.
• Help plan the stores long-term strategy and then execute it on a day-today basis.

• An ability to listen, advise and come up with commercially savvy and customer driven solutions. 
• The ability to self-motivate and manage alongside the ability to balance multiple priorities.
• Knowledge of SAP
• Proven management experience.
• A hands-on leader who enjoys getting involved in store operations.
