We're now looking for an experienced Senior Butcher to join our award-winning team.

This role is ideal for a skilled expert who loves the craft of butchery and wants to pass their knowledge on to the next generation. You'll work alongside a team of highly experienced butchers while playing a key role in coaching, mentoring, and developing our apprentices.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Senior Butcher, you'll be a respected leader within the department, setting the standard for quality, presentation, food safety, and productivity. Other key responsibilities will include:

• Cutting, trimming, preparing, and presenting premium meat products to the highest standard
• Training, coaching and mentoring apprentice butchers
• Sharing trade knowledge and developing future talent within the industry
• Supporting the Butchery Manager with the day-to-day operation of the department
• Maintaining exceptional food safety and hygiene standards
• Driving product innovation, quality, merchandising, and customer satisfaction
• Leading by example and contributing to a positive team culture

You'll be an experienced butcher who takes pride in both your workmanship and your ability to help others succeed. You will also bring:

• A recognized butchery qualification and extensive industry experience
• Strong technical skills across all aspects of the trade
• A genuine passion for training, coaching, and developing apprentices
• High standards for quality, presentation, and food safety
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Reliability, initiative, and a positive attitude
• Previous experience mentoring or supervising team members
