We're looking for an experienced Butchery Manager to lead our busy and successful Butchery Department at PAK'nSAVE Napier City. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of a key area of our store, lead a talented tea, and help deliver the quality, value, and service our customers expect every day.

About the Role

As Butchery Manager, you'll be responsible for the overall performance of the department, ensuring high standards of food safety, product quality, customer service, and team engagement are consistently achieved.

You'll be a hands-on leader who leads from the front, drives departmental success, and creates a positive team culture.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day operations of the Butchery Department.
• Maintain exceptional food safety, hygiene, and compliance standards.
• Manage ordering, stock control, merchandising, and inventory levels.
• Coach, develop and motivate your team to achieve their best.
• Ensure products are presented to the highest standards.
• Drive department sales, productivity, and profitability.
• Deliver an outstanding shopping experience for our customers.

What We're Looking For

• Proven butchery experience with strong product knowledge.
• Previous leadership or management experience.
• Sound understanding of food safety and compliance requirements.
• Excellent communication and people leadership skills.
• Strong planning, organisational, and problem-solving abilities.
• A customer-first mindset and commitment to excellence.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced retail environment.
