We are looking for an energetic, confident, and motivated Checkout Manager to lead our checkout team and help deliver an outstanding experience for every customer who walks through our doors.

About the Role

This is a busy, hands-on leadership role suited to someone who thrives in a fast-paced supermarket environment. You’ll be responsible for managing the checkout team and coordinating rosters, with the support of our Checkout Supervisors, to ensure our front end runs smoothly and efficiently.

You’ll lead by example, support your team through the day-to-day challenges of the role, and ensure every customer receives friendly, efficient, and exceptional service. You’ll need to be proactive, adaptable, and confident making decisions on the go, while fostering a positive team culture where everyone feels supported and encouraged to grow.

What We’re Looking For

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

• Previous checkout and/or customer service experience in a supermarket environment.
• Proven leadership or management experience, with the ability to motivate, support, and develop a team.
• Excellent communication skills, with a strong command of written and spoken English.
• Basic maths skills and confidence handling everyday checkout operations.
• A positive, can-do attitude, with initiative, common sense, and the ability to think on your feet.
• The ability to follow instructions, embrace change, and adapt to changing priorities.
• Strong teamwork skills and a genuine willingness to support others.
• The physical fitness required to meet the demands of a hands-on supermarket role.
• A commitment to delivering excellent customer service and creating positive customer experiences.
