We’re excited to announce that New World Te Atatū will be opening its doors August 2026, offering a new full-service modern supermarket and creating 120 new roles for the Peninsula. 

We’re now looking for a Customer Service Manager who is ready to build a high-performing team, shape our store culture, and set the standard for operational excellence from day one. Te Tūranga – About the role

  • As our Customer Service Manager, you’ll lead our checkout team, ensuring every customer leaves with a great last impression.
  • Plan, lead and ensure operational excellence for our Checkout Department.
  • Ensuring standards and daily tasks are achieved with having an eye for the detail. Able to notice the little things that most people don’t whilst working in a timely manner.
  • Effectively plan, monitor and prioritise tasks throughout the day.
  • Identifying and deterring suspicious behaviour with a focus on loss prevention, ensuring a safe and secure store environment for staff and customers.
  • To develop the needs of team members including robust training, creating development from within the team.
  • Effectively resolve all customer related enquiries and complaints when able to and escalate issues to management when required.

  • Previous experience leading a large customer-facing.
  • Excellent communication and people skills.
  • SAP experience.
  • A commitment to delivering stand-out customer service.
  • Comfortable resolving customer complaints and queries.
