We are looking for an enthusiastic Checkout Supervisor to join our Customer Services team. 📋 About the Role

Reporting to the Checkout Manager, you will help manage the day-to-day operation of the checkout department and ensure our customers receive the highest possible standard of service.

 

This is a hands-on and varied role that requires confidence, initiative, and excellent multitasking skills. You will supervise the checkout floor, assist customers at self-service checkouts, process Lotto transactions, and help keep the department running smoothly.

 

✅ Key Responsibilities

Your responsibilities will include:

 

🔹 Opening the checkout department and preparing it for the day’s trade

🔹 Monitoring customer flow and ensuring enough checkouts are open

🔹 Supervising, supporting, and motivating checkout team members

🔹 Responding promptly and professionally to customer enquiries

🔹 Liaising with other departments to resolve price enquiries and customer queries

🔹 Assisting customers with transactions at self-service checkouts

🔹 Processing Lotto sales and responding to Lotto-related enquiries

🔹 Keeping the checkout area clean, tidy, and welcoming

🔹 Completing end-of-day checkout and Lotto closing procedures

🔹 Counting cash accurately and ensuring all closing tasks are completed

 

🙋 About You

Previous checkout or supervisory experience is preferred. However, we also welcome applications from motivated individuals who are ready to learn and develop their leadership skills.

⭐ Previous checkout or supervisory experience, preferably

⭐ The confidence and motivation to support and lead others

⭐ Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

⭐ Strong numerical skills and attention to detail

⭐ The ability to multitask in a busy retail environment

⭐ Good time-management and organizational skills

⭐ The ability to follow tasks through to completion

⭐ The confidence to work independently and use initiative

⭐ Availability to work at least one weekend day

 

🕒 Hours of Work

📅 Monday: 12:15 pm to 10:15 pm

📅 Tuesday: 11:30 am to 7:30 pm

📅 Thursday: 6:30 am to 4:30 pm

📅 Sunday: 10:30 am to 7:30 pm
