New World Pioneer is a large, locally owned and operated supermarket in Palmerston North. We employ a team who pride themselves on delivering exceptional customer service.

We have multiple part-time opportunities available in our Scannable Department for reliable and motivated people to join our team. Working across Grocery, Chilled & Frozen, and Liquor, these roles offer variety and would suit someone looking for flexible part-time work, including students.

 

About the Role

You’ll help keep our departments well stocked, organised and presented to a high standard. Your responsibilities will include:

 

• Filling and replenishing stock across Grocery, Chilled & Frozen, and Liquor

   

   

• Rotating stock and maintaining product quality

   

   

• Building and maintaining attractive displays

   

   

• Keeping shelves, stockrooms and work areas clean and organised

   

   

• Working efficiently to complete tasks within set timeframes

   

   

• Providing friendly customer service when required

   

   

• Supporting the wider team with day-to-day department duties

   

   

About You

We’re looking for people who are:

 

• Reliable, punctual and hardworking

   

   

• Physically fit and comfortable working on their feet

   

   

• Able to work independently and as part of a team

   

   

• Organised, with good attention to detail

   

   

• Positive, flexible and willing to learn

   

   

• Available to work evening shifts and a weekend day when required

   

   

• Able to arrange their own reliable transport, as some shifts finish late

   

   

Previous supermarket or retail experience is an advantage, but training will be provided for the right candidates.

 

Hours of Work

Multiple part-time positions are available, with hours and rosters varying between roles.

 

Applicants must be available to work evenings and have some weekend availability. Reliable own transport is essential due to late finishes.
