Deli Assistant Manager (2IC) - New World Point Chevalier 

We’re excited to announce that New World Point Chevalier will be joining the community later this year! With a brand-new store and impressive offering across grocery, butchery, deli, bakery, produce and liquor, we can’t wait to open our doors to the Point Chev community. 

With our opening set for early September 2025, we’re currently seeking an experienced Deli Assistant Manager to join the team. As a department leader, you’ll play an integral part in our journey towards a successful store opening and continuously deliver an exceptional shopping experience for our community. 

The Role: 

• Assist the Deli Manager to meet department targets and operational delivery standards.
• Plan and coordinate all facets of the day-to-day operations and processes of the Deli department.
• Assist with food preparation and merchandising. 
• Maintain health & safety and food safety compliance.
• Provide a high level of customer service.

What we’re looking for: 

• Hospitality and/or food-to-go or deli experience is advantageous. 
• Great people skills and leadership potential. 
• Understanding of compliance, health & safety and food safety. 
• Excellent customer service skills. 
• Reliable, honest and a good team player. 
• Ability to multitask and work at a pace with attention to detail. 
• Self-starter and the ability to work across cross-functional departments.
