Join our team as a Baker at New World Paremata!

We are a small bakery so you get to do a bit of everything. This role is 2 days packing/retailing, 1 day sweet baking and 2 days bread baking.

Full training will be given so commercial baking experience isn’t a requirement but experience in a commercial baking/kitchen environment would be beneficial.

This role requires early starts and 1 weekend day.

About the role:

• Scratch baking our fresh bread daily with flair and the highest quality.
• Assist with developing our range to cater to our customers’ preferences.
• Assist with production planning and process development to optimize production.
• Keep the bakery area clean, organized, and sanitized according to company policies.

What we’re looking for:

• Some experience in commercial food production, a willingness to learn and passion for baking.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
