New World Milford is seeking a talented and versatile Baker to join the team in the heart of Milford. If you are looking to grow your craft and advancing your skills whilst pursuing your passion, we have the perfect opportunity for you!
Reporting to the Bakery Manager, you will utilise your expertise in all aspects of baking.
What you will be doing:
- Working on the bowl, gathering and mixing ingredients, baking the bread and finishing the process according to established recipes, ensuring that every product that comes out of the oven are of high quality.
- Maintaining a clean, neat and orderly work station through general cleaning tasks using standard cleaning products as assigned to adhere to standards.
- Responsible for quality control to ensure consistency.
- Ensuring all baked goods are completed on time.
- Operating baking equipment safely.

You will have the following skills and attributes:
- Bakery qualification (Certificate in Baking Level 4)
- At least 1-2 years’ experience in bread baking
- Knowledge of safe food handling practices
- An energetic performer with an upbeat, positive attitude
- Able to work in a hot and fast-paced environment
- Quality focused with high presentation standards
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team with strong collaboration skills
- Ability to use initiative
- Good communication skills
- The drive and enthusiasm for the position
- Ability to lift up to 20kg on a regular basis
- Physically fit to fulfil the requirements of the role
