About Us:

At New World Hastings, we take pride in providing our customers with a wide selection of freshly baked goods made with the finest ingredients. As a Baker, you'll play a crucial role in upholding our commitment to quality and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and bake a variety of bread, pastries, and other baked goods according to established recipes and standards.
• Ensure consistent quality and presentation of all baked products.
• Monitor and maintain inventory levels to meet customer demand while minimizing waste.
• Adhere to food safety and hygiene regulations to ensure the highest standards of cleanliness and safety are maintained.
• Collaborate with other members of the bakery team to develop new recipes and products to meet customer preferences and market trends.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Minimum two years bakery experience in a commercial bakery setting.
• Minimum completion of Year 1 of Level 3 NZ Trade Baking (Craft)
• Strong knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and equipment.
• Passion for baking and a creative approach to recipe development.
• Attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality products.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and meet production deadlines.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Flexibility to work early mornings, weekends, and holidays as required.

This is a full-time permanent position Thursday - Monday 3am to 11.30am, with a confirmed minimum of 40 hours per week.
