Baker

We have a position available in our Bakery for a Qualified Baker (or equivalent experience) with a passion for producing excellent quality products. We are seeking someone who is self-motivated, hands-on, and willing to lead by example while setting high standards. The ideal candidate will have excellent personal presentation, a desire to excel, and a commitment to continually improving both themselves and the department.

Working hours: 40–45 hours per week (to be discussed at interview), including a weekend shift.

The successful applicant will demonstrate that you:

• Have the “X factor” in personality and can communicate effectively with both customers and staff.
• Have a minimum of 5 years’ experience working in a bakery or similar retail environment.
• Possess excellent negotiation skills.
• Appreciate the importance of working as part of a team.
• Are well organised and understand the importance of legislative requirements, in-store procedures, and standards.
• Can work unsupervised and manage their time effectively.
• Are interested in learning new skills and continuously improving performance.
• Have excellent customer service skills.
• Are prepared to work flexible hours.
• Have a clean record, are honest, and maintain high standards of presentation.
• Hold NZ Residency or a valid NZ Work Visa.
