Baker

Tamatea PAK’nSAVE has an exciting opportunity for a skilled and passionate Baker to join our team. This is a permanent, full-time position, offering stability and long-term career opportunities. Roster options will be discussed at the interview stage.

We’re looking for an experienced baker who is confident producing high-quality bread products, with additional experience in cakes and pastry considered an advantage, ideally within a high-volume commercial bakery environment.

The Role

As a Baker, you will play a key role in the day-to-day success of our Bakery Department, ensuring a wide range of fresh, high-quality baked products are consistently available throughout trading hours. This role will primarily focus on bread production, while also contributing to the creation of other bakery items as required.

You’ll be working in a fast-paced, energetic environment that requires strong organisation, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently under pressure. At Tamatea PAK’nSAVE, we value continuous improvement, innovation, and taking pride in what we produce.

What are we looking for

• A qualified or experienced baker with proven hands-on skills and a genuine passion for the craft
• Strong baking skills and excellent product presentation in a high-volume environment
• Sound knowledge of Food Safety, Health & Safety requirements
• Physically fit and able to lift up to 20kg
• Reliable, punctual, and flexible, with a strong work ethic
• Team-focused, with excellent communication and relationship-building skills
• Strong planning and time-management abilities
• Must have current working rights in New Zealand
