We’re looking to grow our team at Pak’nSave Papakura! We have an exciting opportunity for a skilled and enthusiastic Baker to join our store and contribute to delivering high-quality fresh bakery products to our customers every day. This is a fantastic role for someone passionate about baking and looking to be part of a supportive, fast-paced environment.

Pak’nSave Papakura is a locally owned supermarket, part of the Foodstuffs North Island Cooperative. We employ over 185 people and serve more than 26,000 customers each week. Role Overview:
As a Baker, you’ll be responsible for assisting in the daily operations of our busy Bakery department, ensuring that our shelves are stocked with a wide range of freshly baked products at all times. You’ll help produce everything from bread and pastries to specialty cakes and sweets. Your attention to quality, food safety, and presentation will play a vital role in our customers' experience.

Key Responsibilities:
• Bake a variety of cakes, pastries, sweet products, and bread dough to meet department needs.
• Ice and decorate cakes for customer orders and for display.
• Produce bakery-specific items such as scones, muffins, pies, pizzas, and cookies.
• Merchandise products and ensure effective stock rotation and accurate pricing.
• Receive and check inwards goods as required.
• Serve customers with a positive attitude when needed.
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness in the Bakery department.
• Follow all Health & Safety, Food Safety, and compliance procedures.
• Complete required food safety documentation (daily, weekly, monthly).

About You:
Here’s what we’re looking for in the ideal candidate:
• Commercial bakery experience is ideal!
• Experience in a retail food or fresh food environment.
• Physically fit and able to meet the demands of the role.
• Clear and effective communicator at all levels.
• Commitment to food safety and health & safety policies.
• Legally entitled to work in New Zealand.

Working Hours:
This is a full-time position with hours that may include early starts and weekend shifts as required. To be confirmed in interview.
