Baker

At New World Newlands our store vision is to be "A Great part of peoples day." We're looking for a Baker to come join our instore tightknit team, where we proudly serve the community of Newlands. 

We have an opportunity for people who are passionate about baking, already in the retail industry, and love to work in a busy, customer focused environment. Flexibility to work changing hours is important:

We are seeking an exceptional Baker, with the passion to produce the finest quality bakery products especially a deep passion for everything bread.

You will:

• Be able to make and bake White, Wholemeal, Grain, Rye and Sweet doughs.
• Be able to make and bake Sponge cakes, Madeira cakes, fruit cakes etc.
• Be able to make and bake slices and biscuits and scones.
• Understand Food Safety, and Health & Safety principles.
• Be able to bake frozen products such as Croissants and Danish Pastry.
• Be willing to work different shifts if required. Hours and Days to be discussed on interview. This is full time role in the team
