At Brookfield New World in Tauranga, we’re looking for a Bakery All-Rounder to join our passionate team. 

This is a full-time position and includes one weekend day.

The successful applicant must be available to work early morning shifts, including opening shifts starting from 3:00am.

What the role involves:
You’ll be producing a variety of baked goods from scratch — including breads, sourdoughs, pastries, pies, and cakes. You’ll work with commercial ovens, mixers, and provers in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining high food safety and hygiene standards. This is physical work involving early starts, lifting heavy ingredients, and contributing to daily production targets. Availability to work early mornings and at least one weekend day is expected.

Who we’re looking for:
We welcome applications from experienced bakers, ideally applicants must have a minimum of one-year commercial baking experience. A strong work ethic, reliability, and a team-focused attitude are essential. No minimum qualifications are required for this role. Knowledge of New Zealand food safety and health and safety practices is considered an advantage.
