Bakers

We’re excited to announce that New World Te Atatū will be opening its doors week commencing 10th August 2026, offering a new full-service modern supermarket and creating 90 new roles for the Peninsula. 

We’re now looking for experienced bakers who take pride in producing high‑quality products and delivering consistent results from day one. This role is a great opportunity to be part of a brand‑new store, where your baking skills, attention to detail, and strong work ethic will help set the standard and create great experiences for our customers from the moment we open our doors.

Te Tūranga – About the role

• Ensure high presentation standards for the bakery department. 
• Prepare, bake, and produce bakery offerings as required – get creative and use your baking flair! 
• Lead in bakery product refinement and bakery range expansion. 
• Provide full range whilst maintaining quality. 
• Maintain daily operations in collaboration with the Bakery Manager and 2IC. 
• Ensure the H&S, Food Safety and store procedures are strictly followed.

• Qualified baker OR equivalent experience. 
• A true passion for baking and a commitment to quality and excellence.
• Reliable, honest and be a good team player. 
• Knowledge of food safety and health & safety.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality. 
• Confidence & maturity to work unassisted at times.
