Bakery 2IC - NW Stonefields

New World Stonefields is proud to offer one of the best in-store bakeries in Auckland and is looking for a new team member to join as the new Bakery 2IC.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for baking, a keen eye for detail and a commitment to providing exceptional customer service.

You will:

• Help to manage the day-to-day operations of the bakery department, including ordering, inventory management, production planning, and scheduling.
• Ensure that all bakery products are prepared to high-quality standards, following store recipes and procedures.
• Train and supervise a team of bakery staff, ensuring they are fully trained on all aspects of bakery production, customer service, food safety and health and safety.
• Work alongside the Bakery manager to develop and implement strategies to increase sales and profitability, including product promotions, merchandising, and cost controls.
• Ensure that the bakery department is fully compliant with all food safety regulations and company policies.
• Maintain a clean and organized bakery department, including all equipment and storage areas.

To be successful in this role you will have

• Experience in a bakery or similar food production environment.
• Strong leadership and people skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
• Sound knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and equipment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.

   

   

• Strong attention to detail, with the ability to ensure consistent product quality.
• The ability to work flexible hours as required, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
