We are seeking an Assistant Manager to help lead our successful Bakery at PAK’nSAVE Clarence St

We’re out here trying to provide fresh and sweet as experiences, at cheap as prices, to make life easier for our awesome customers. We are looking for an experienced Baker to motivate and inspire our team to be better every day and help deliver growth to the store.

The Role:

• Full support to further develop your management and leadership skills in a management role under a passionate experienced bakery specialist.
• Inspire and maintain consistent standards of production and quality from our experienced team.
• Develop appealing products that wow - get creative with value-added and seasonal offers, thinking about customers first.
• Create, drive, and deliver customer experiences worth driving past the competition for.
• Own it all, the buying and selling, wastage control, the display of the department and grow GP.

What we are looking for:

Our preference is for a qualified baker with existing experience in Supermarket Retail at a team leader level. However, we are open to someone with experience in all areas of scratch baking in a production environment with responsibility for a team of people.

• A candidate with high standards of quality and presentation
• A leader that is passionate about people, and has the proven ability to prioritise and achieve multiple objectives, while maintaining a calm, controlled and pleasant environment that fosters team development and growth
• 6+ months in a leadership position.
• Experience in detailed planning and execution of product launches, promotions, and seasonal events.
• Proven success in achieving KPI’s of productivity, waste/damage targets, and stock availability.
• Strong food safety knowledge and understanding of procedures for production and sale of food.
• Basic computer literacy, and familiarity with Excell. Experience with SAP inventory control is preferred.
