Bakery & Deli Assistant Manager - 2IC

We’re excited to announce that New World Mount Albert will be rejoining the community later this year!  With a brand-new store, fresh fit-out and wide offering across grocery, butchery, deli, bakery, produce and liquor, we can’t wait to open our doors again to the Mount Albert community.

Our opening date is set for August 2024 we are seeking a Bakery & Deli Assistant Manager (2IC) to join the team. You’ll play a key part in our journey towards a successful store opening and continuously deliver an awesome shopping experience for our community. 

As Bakery & Deli Assistant Manager (2IC) you will:

• Assist the Bakery & Deli Manager to meet department targets and operational delivery standards.
• Plan and coordinate all facets of the day-to-day operations and processes of the Bakery & Deli department.
• Assist with food preparation and merchandising.
• Maintain health & safety and food safety compliance.
• Provide a high level of customer service.

What we’re looking for:

• Hospitality and/or food-to-go, deli, or bakery experience is advantageous.
• Great people skills and leadership potential.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Reliable, honest and a good team player.
• Ability to multitask and work at a pace with attention to detail.
• Self-starter and the ability to work across cross-functional departments.
