Bakery Assistant-Kerikeri
The primary role of the Bakery Assistant position is the following:
- Complete all daily cleaning and sanitizing duties in the department
- Maintain all Food Safety and Health and Safety compliance procedures
- Pack, present and merchandise bakery products
- Ensure the Bakery Department is clean, tidy and attractively presented
- Taking customer orders, serving customers and handling customer related enquiries appropriately
The successful applicant will:
- Be physically fit and able to fulfil the requirements of the role which may include lifting
- Have a good command of written and spoken English
- Demonstrate good basic math skills
- Display excellent communication and customer service skills
- Demonstrate a strong work ethic, reliability, flexibility and use of initiative
- Be able to work independently and cooperatively in a team
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- Possess the capability to multitask to meet deadlines
This position is full time(40hrs+), 5 days per week, with a requirement for one shift on the weekend. The ability/availability for early morning starts at 4/5am are essential.
