Bakery Assistant Manager
We’re looking for a Bakery Assistant Manager who’s ready to help build a high‑performing team, foster a positive store culture, and uphold strong operational standards from day one. This is an opportunity to step into a key leadership role where your initiative, reliability, and people skills will directly shape the success of a brand‑new store and help create an experience our customers will love from the moment we open our doors.
Te Tūranga – About the Role
- Support the Bakery Manager to ensure the department runs smoothly and all targets are met or exceeded.
- Assist with planning, coordinating, and overseeing all aspects of day‑to‑day bakery operations.
- Maintain Food Safety, Health & Safety, and store policy standards at all times.
- Ensure team members are well trained and equipped to deliver an exceptional shopping experience.
- Contribute to food preparation and the baking of a wide range of products.

He kōrero mōu – About You
- A qualified Baker or someone with strong experience in a café or bakery environment.
- Passionate about food, especially specialty breads and sweet treats.
- Previous supervisory experience is an advantage.
- Customer‑focused with a strong eye for quality and presentation.
- Able to consistently follow Food Safety and Health & Safety requirements.
- A natural leader with the ability to train, motivate, and inspire a small team.
- Reliable, self‑motivated, and a strong team player.
