Bakery Assistant Manager

We’re looking for a Bakery Assistant Manager who’s ready to help build a high‑performing team, foster a positive store culture, and uphold strong operational standards from day one. Te Tūranga – About the Role

• Support the Bakery Manager to ensure the department runs smoothly and all targets are met or exceeded.
• Assist with planning, coordinating, and overseeing all aspects of day‑to‑day bakery operations.
• Maintain Food Safety, Health & Safety, and store policy standards at all times.
• Ensure team members are well trained and equipped to deliver an exceptional shopping experience.
• Contribute to food preparation and the baking of a wide range of products.

He kōrero mōu – About You

• A qualified Baker or someone with strong experience in a café or bakery environment.
• Passionate about food, especially specialty breads and sweet treats.
• Previous supervisory experience is an advantage.
• Customer‑focused with a strong eye for quality and presentation.
• Able to consistently follow Food Safety and Health & Safety requirements.
• A natural leader with the ability to train, motivate, and inspire a small team.
• Reliable, self‑motivated, and a strong team player.
