Bakery Assistant Manager

We are currently seeking a dedicated and motivated individual to join our team as Bakery Assistant Manager. This exciting role involves assisting the Bakery Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the Bakery, ensuring smooth production processes, maintaining quality control, and optimising workflows. The ideal candidate will not only manage tasks such as scheduling, inventory management, and staff supervision but will also play a crucial role in fostering a positive work environment that promotes teamwork and open communication. Key responsibilities include

  • Planning, managing and leading the front-of-house team
  • Maintaining a positive people-first environment, supporting team development and performance
  • Planning and managing production from the Bakers
  • Managing inventory and stocktakes
  • Rostering and timesheets as requested
  • Compliance requirements for Food Safety and Health and Safety
  • Ensuring pricing compliance throughout the Bakery
  • Recipe management
  • Maintaining high standards of quality, presentation and consistency
The successful applicant will:
  • Demonstrate strong leadership capabilities 
  • Be well-organised, approachable, and calm under pressure
  • Strong customer service experience and the ability to understand customers' needs
  • Strong communication skills
  • Be confident managing staff, stock, suppliers and compliance requirements
  • SAP knowledge would be an advantage
