Are you a natural leader with a passion for inspiring teams and driving excellence? We’re searching for a Bakery Assistant Manager who is ready to step up, lead by example, and help shape the future of our bakery. In this pivotal role, you’ll work side by side with the Bakery Manager, empowering your team, developing talent, and ensuring every shift runs at its best. If you’re motivated to lead, build a positive culture, and set high standards for quality and service, we want you on our leadership team!

What you’ll be doing:

  • Plan, manage, and lead the front-of-house team
  • Maintain a positive, people-first environment and support team development and performance
  • Plan and manage production with the bakery team
  • Manage inventory and conduct stocktakes
  • Prepare rosters and manage timesheets as needed
  • Ensure compliance with Food Safety and Health & Safety requirements
  • Ensure pricing compliance throughout the Bakery
  • Manage bakery recipes
  • Maintain high standards of quality, presentation, and consistency
  • Perform baking duties as required

Who we’re looking for:

  • Demonstrates strong leadership capabilities
  • Is well-organised, approachable, and calm under pressure
  • A qualified Baker or someone with strong experience in a café or bakery environment
  • Has excellent customer service skills and a keen understanding of customers’ needs
  • Communicates effectively and confidently manages staff, stock, suppliers, and compliance requirements
  • Brings SAP knowledge (an advantage, but not essential)
  • Shares a genuine passion for baking and a positive, can-do attitude

Shifts & Availability

This is a full-time role, Tuesday to Saturday. Hours are Tuesday to Thursday, 9:00 am–5:00 pm, and Friday and Saturday, 7:00 am–3:00 pm.
