Bakery Assistant Manager

Days of work, Tuesday to Saturday 9.00 a.m. to 7.00 p.m.

We are seeking that special individual who has commitment to excellence with strong organisational and communications skills. Reporting to the Bakery Manager, they will also display high presentation standards, honesty, and an excellent work ethic.  If successful you will be responsible for assisting in the planning and coordinating all facets of the day-to-day operations of the Bakery Department and ensuring staff are well trained to provide the best overall shopping experience for their customers.

This role will ideally suit someone who has previous supervisory experience within a busy work environment; perhaps you are currently managing a small Bakery and its team and has a passion for delivering staff development and leadership.  You will be supporting the Bakery Manager in all facets of day-to-day operations of a large supermarket bakery with a staffing compliment of 20 people and will step in for the Manager at times and when required.

This is a full-time role rostered to meet the requirements of both the role and the Bakery, with the exact days and hours to be discussed with the successful candidate.  However, the successful applicant needs to be flexible with their rostered hours to meet the operational needs of the Bakery Department.
