Bakery Assistant - NW Stonefields

We have an exciting opportunity for a hardworking, reliable, and switched-on Assistant to join one of the best in-store bakeries! If you love the smell of freshly baked bread and thrive in a busy, hands-on environment, this could be the perfect role for you!

In this role, you will:

• Take customer orders and serve them with a smile
• Handle all customer enquiries, including cake orders
• Keep bakery displays fully stocked and looking irresistible
• Pack and price breads, rolls, cakes, biscuits, and more
• Prepare, mix, and bake cakes, muffins, scones, and other treats
• Cut and package cake slices ready for sale
• Prepare baked goods for the next day’s production
• Maintain high standards of cleanliness across the bakery, including ovens, provers, chillers, and display cases
• Accurately record wastage

What we’re looking for:

You’ll bring a strong work ethic, great communication skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. A genuine customer focus and pride in delivering quality are essential.

This is a physically active role, so you will need to be physically fit and comfortable with regular lifting of up to 25kg.

The details:

• Permanent role: 42.5 hours per week
• Roster: Sunday - Thursday 1:00pm - 10:00pm (days off Friday/Saturday)
• Flexibility to work these set days and hours is essential
• You must already be in New Zealand and legally entitled to work
