Bakery Assistant - Part Time

Our Fresh Food section of the Store, predominantly the Service Deli, Seafood and Bakery department(s) is after outstanding individuals to join our team on a permanent, part-time basis.

The days and hours for this position are: 

• Sunday, Monday 5:00am - 1:30pm (16 Hours total per week)

The role of a Fresh Food Assistant in our store at PAK'nSAVE Hastings basically means you are trained in the core tasks across the 3 departments. The Deli, Seafood & Bakery Department is where you'd complete the tasks related to this position, including making pizzas, cooking chickens and presenting them to customers, and finishing off (icing and decorating) cake products, packaging and pricing baked bread rolls, cakes, loaves, biscuits ect. The role of a Fresh Food Assistant covers merchandising/filling the front cabinet, as well as interacting with customers and abiding by Health & Safety regulations. 

To succeed in these positions you will need to:

• Be able to work well unsupervised once fully trained
• Be able to follow procedures and instruction
• Have absolute reliability 
• Be a team player with the ability to communicate effectively
• Be safety conscious!

Previous experience in the food industry would be beneficial but is not essential as full training will be provided.
