Bakery Assistant

We are looking for a Bakery Assistant to help us deliver the best customer experience and positively contribute to our team.

The Role:

Your primary role will be to assist in the day-to-day running of the Bakery department, ensuring that a maximum range and sufficient quantity of high quality freshly baked products are available for sale at the correct price at all times during opening hours.

Some of the key areas for the role will be:

• Some Baking required.  Training will be given.
  
• Merchandising the product in the department and ensuring effective stock rotation through the monitoring of best before dates as well as stocktaking
• Receiving inwards goods.
• Assist in serving customers as required.
• Assisting in ensuring all appropriate cleaning takes place in the department.
• Follow Health and Safety Policy, Food Safety Policy and compliance procedures in the store.
• Completing appropriate daily, weekly and monthly food safety traceability forms as required.
