We are now seeking an experienced and motivated Bakery Manager to lead our Bakery Department. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of one of New Zealand’s largest onsite retail scratch bakeries and to lead a passionate team in a high-performing environment.

The Role
As Bakery Manager, you will be fully responsible for the overall performance and success of the Bakery Department. This includes leading and developing your team, planning and coordinating day-to-day operations, achieving sales and production targets, and ensuring the highest standards of food safety, health and safety, and compliance with store policies and procedures.

You will be a hands-on leader who leads by example, drives quality and consistency, and ensures customers receive an outstanding bakery experience every day.

Key Responsibilities Include:

 

• Full leadership and management of the Bakery Department

   

   

• Delivering exceptional customer service and product standards

   

   

• Planning production to meet sales targets and minimise waste

   

   

• Recruiting, training, coaching, and developing a skilled bakery team

   

   

• Maintaining Food Safety, Health & Safety, and compliance standards

   

   

• Managing rostering, wages, and department costs

   

   

• Driving continuous improvement and team engagement

   

   

About You
This role will ideally suit a qualified baker or an experienced bakery professional who has proven leadership experience in a retail or commercial bakery environment.
