BARISTA AND LOTTO ASSISTANTS

Opening mid to late May 2025, our Lotto/Cafe kiosk will be the hive of activity - an exciting place to be and to work.  You will be making coffee (all take away - no ceramic's), selling Lotto tickets and Instant Kiwi Tickets and keeping our flowers in tip top shape! 

 

To be successful in this role, you will need:

- Outstanding customer service skills (not good, not great, not okay - but OUTSTANDING!!)  smiling at people will be something that you do naturally.

- Previous Lotto experience is preferred, but not essential. 

- Strong communication skills (both written and verbal)

- Barista skills - this is important and necessary.

- Be available to work one day/night in the weekend (this is non-negotiable)

- Have a flair to seeing more than just what is in front of you - you have an eye for detail (retail is detail after all!).

- Have an understanding of what Food Safety in a commercial environment is and what Health and Safety means in a Supermarket.

- You are a team player and aren't afraid to get in and get the work done.  You are also honest and want to work!

- You are physically fit - there is some lifting involved (15kg).

- Be legally able to work in New Zealand.

 

We have 1 Full Time Role available, 1 Part Time Role available and 2 Junior Roles available. 

 

The successful applicant will be offered the following.

 

- Starting early May 2025 - first trading day in Lotto is expected to be 19th May 2025, with our Coffee Kiosk/flowers and gifting also opening around that time.

- Support and training (for both the role and ongoing training as needed/interest expressed)
