Bookkeeper – New World Waihi

We are looking for a Bookkeeper to join our awesome team at New World Waihi.

Location – 35 Kenny Street Waihi

Job Type - Full Time

Duration- Permanent

Minimum guaranteed hours – 40 hours per week

Salary - $34 - $35/hour

Key responsibilities:

  • Day-to-day bookkeeping and financial administration, including, maintaining and balancing accounts.
  • Generating and sending invoices and purchase orders.
  • Deposit daily cash receipts in the bank.
  • Chasing outstanding payments and outstanding credit lines extended.
  • Bank reconciliation and accounts management using SAP and monthly bank statements.
  • Entering and maintaining financial and customer data in SAP.
  • Submit monthly financial reports and statements along with analyses of the reports to assist the owner to determine the health of the business and reporting any irregularities.
  • Prepare necessary reports to determine tax entitlement and GST payable.
  • General accounts support and admin tasks as needed.

To be considered for this role, you will need:

  • At least three years of relevant work experience.
  • Solid bookkeeping and accounts knowledge.
  • Experience following up on overdue accounts.
  • Great attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Confident communicator with a professional approach.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time.
  • Contribute positively to the team.
  • Ability to work on weekends.
