Butcher or Butchery Assistant

We are looking for an energetic Qualified Butcher or an eager Butchery Assistant to join our busy Butchery team. Whether you are a fully qualified trade professional or looking to kickstart your career in the meat industry, we have a place for you!

Key Responsibilities:

• Preparation: Cutting, Traying, Wrapping & Pricing
• Customer Service: Greeting customers, answering queries, and providing tips on how to cook different cuts.
• Food Safety: Strict adherence to NZ Food Safety standards, hygiene practices, and health & safety protocols.
• Presentation: Ensuring the butchery counter and self-service cabinets are always fully stocked, clean, and visually appealing.

What We Are Looking For:

• Reliability: You are punctual, dependable, and enjoy working as part of a team.
• Physical Fitness: Ability to handle heavy lifting and stand for long periods in a chilled environment.
• Communication: Fluent English to communicate effectively with team members and customers.
• Flexibility: Availability to work a roster that may include early mornings (e.g., 6:00 AM starts) or weekend shifts.
• Legality: Must have the legal right to work in New Zealand.
