Butcher | Part time or Full time

New World Churton Park is looking for a Butcher to join our team.

We are proud of our fresh departments and this role is a key part of delivering quality, presentation and service to our customers every day. We are open to either part time or full time hours for the right person.

About the role

This is a hands on role where you will be involved in the preparation, presentation and merchandising of meat products to a high standard.

 

Key responsibilities include:

 

• Cutting, preparing and packing meat products
• Maintaining high standards of freshness, presentation and cleanliness
• Providing excellent customer service and product knowledge
• Following food safety and health and safety standards
• Helping ensure the department is well stocked and ready for trade
• Working as part of the team to deliver a strong fresh offer

What we are looking for

• Butchery experience, ideally in a supermarket or retail environment
• A strong eye for quality and presentation
• A reliable and hardworking attitude
• Good communication and customer service skills
• The ability to work well in a team
• A willingness to work efficiently in a busy environment
