About the Role 

The successful applicant will be responsible for preparing, cutting, trimming, and displaying meat products to a high standard while providing excellent customer service and maintaining food safety requirements.

Location: New World Brookfield – Tauranga, New Zealand

Key Responsibilities

• Cutting, boning, trimming, and preparing meat products
• Preparing value-added products and displays
• Ensuring product quality, freshness, and presentation standards are maintained
• Assisting customers with product selection and enquiries
• Following all food safety, health, and hygiene procedures
• Cleaning and maintaining equipment and work areas
• Assisting with stock rotation and stock control

Skills and Experience Required

• New Zealand Certificate in Trade Butchery (Level 4) or equivalent qualification and/ Or At least 4 years significant Butchery experience
• Knowledge of meat cuts and food safety practices
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
• Reliable, honest, and motivated
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Good level of physically fitness

Employment Details

• Full-time permanent role
• Minimum guaranteed 40 hours per week, rostered over 5 days between Monday and Sunday.
• Rostered shifts include one weekend day
• Pay rate: $35 – $40 per hour depending on experience
• Immediate start available
