Due to an internal promotion, we’re now looking for an experienced Butcher or Butchery 2IC to help lead our already strong department and continue to elevate our customer offering.

🍗 About the Role

This is a hands-on leadership position where you’ll work closely with the Butchery Manager to keep the department running smoothly and delivering outstanding customer experience.

You’ll be responsible for:

• Leading from the front in a hands-on, operational role
• Ensuring meat cases and freezers are fully stocked and well-presented
• Expertly cutting, slicing, and preparing meat to a high standard
• Assisting with traying and merchandising
• Supporting day-to-day operations alongside the Butchery Manager
• Helping to lead, develop and support the butchery team
• Assisting with ordering and administrative duties
• Delivering an engaging, fresh, and customer-focused serve-over experience
• Preparing customer orders accurately and on time
• Upholding Health & Safety, Food Safety, and all store procedures
• Maintaining exceptional presentation standards across the department
• Supporting the seafood department when needed

• Trade qualified butcher (or minimum 5+ years equivalent experience)
• Proven leadership experience or readiness to step up
• A strong customer-first mindset
• Passion for fresh food, creativity, and presentation
• Reliable, honest, and a true team player
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Confidence to work independently when required
