We’re looking for a skilled and motivated Butchery 2IC to help lead our high‑performing team. If you’re passionate about great product presentation, building capability in others, and delivering an exceptional customer experience — this is your chance to shine.
What You’ll Be Doing
As our Butchery 2IC, you’ll play a key role in the day‑to‑day running of the department, including:
- Supporting the Butchery Manager with planning, coordinating, and overseeing daily operations
- Maintaining outstanding product quality, food safety, and presentation standards
- Training, mentoring, and developing team members to help them reach their potential
- Ensuring production targets, budgets and KPIs are consistently met
- Delivering excellent customer service and fostering a positive team culture
- Contributing to roster planning, ordering, stock control, and waste reduction
- Ensuring compliance with health & safety and legislative requirements
What You’ll Bring
We’re looking for someone who has:
- Proven trade butchery experience (Qualified Butcher preferred)
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- A commitment to high standards, accuracy, and efficiency
- The ability to inspire and develop others
- A reliable, honest work ethic and strong attention to detail
- Experience with SAP (advantageous but not essential — training available)
Hours & Shifts
- This is a full-time role, which includes weekend
- Specific days and hours will be discussed at interview
