 We are looking for an experienced and motivated Butchery 2IC to support the day-to-day operation of our busy butchery department.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist Butchery Manager in the daily running of the department.
• Prepare, cut, trim and present meat products to a high standard
• Ensure attractive merchandising and product displays.
• Maintain food safety and hygiene standards at all times
• Support stock control, ordering and inventory management.
• Provide exceptional customer service and product knowledge.
• Assist with team supervision, training and development
• Help achieve sales, profitability and waste control targets.

Who are we looking for? To be successful in this role you are someone who:

• Previous butchery experience is essential.
• Proven ability to work in a fast-paced retail or trade environment.
• Strong knowledge of meat preparation and food safety practices.
• Leadership experience or the ability to step into a supervisory role.
• Reliable, hardworking, a positive attitude, commitment to quality and team oriented
• Computer literate (including Microsoft Office and inventory systems)
• SAP Inventory knowledge is an advantage however training will be provided.
• Has a full, clean driver's license (as there is no public transport to the store for you to arrive at 5.30am) 
• All applicants must have NZ residency or a valid work permit.
