At New World Carterton, we're looking for a motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our Butchery Department as a Butchery Apprentice. This is an exciting opportunity to learn a skilled trade, earn while you learn, and build a rewarding long-term career in the supermarket industry.

No previous butchery experience is required. We're looking for the right attitude, willingness to learn, and a strong work ethic.

Employment Type: Full-time, including one weekend shift and early morning starts

What You'll Be Learning

As a Butchery Apprentice, you'll work alongside experienced butchers and receive on-the-job training while completing a recognised apprenticeship.

You will learn how to:

• Prepare and present high-quality meat products
• Use butchery equipment safely and effectively
• Merchandise products to maximise sales and customer satisfaction
• Maintain food safety and hygiene standards
• Deliver excellent customer service
• Manage stock and reduce waste
• Work as part of a busy, professional team
