Butchery Assistant - Part Time

We have an exciting Part Time role available to join our Butchery Department at PAKn’SAVE Hastings. Reporting to the Butchery Manager, you will contribute to the running of the department by making sure the case is fully stocked in a well-presented way, as well as maintaining and ensuring the department is kept clean and attractive to customers. You will also contribute by merchandising the Butchery cabinet to ensure fresh product is available for customers at all times, and also operating the Auto-Wrapper machine, ensuring product is wrapped and packed properly and is well-presented before going out into the shop.

The position's hours are as follows:

• Monday & Thursday 4:00 pm - 9:00 pm & Sunday 10:30am - 7:00pm (16 Hours per week)

For this role, duties include but are not limited to:

• Pricing meat – chilled and frozen product
• Restocking/merchandising from racks made up by butchers and packers throughout the day
• Filling pet food
• Clean from a schedule
• Packing and pricing small goods (sausages)
• Stocking prepack stock – sausages, chicken
