Join our Team

We have an opening for a Part-time Butchery Assistant to join our dynamic team! In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for preparing (not butchering) and presenting meat and seafood products, maintaining clean and organised workspaces, and ensuring our cabinets and displays are well-stocked and attractively merchandised. You will wrap, label, and prepare products for sale, support the Seafood department as needed, and strictly uphold all Health & Safety and Food Safety standards. Customer service remains at the heart of this position: you will connect with customers, answer their questions, offer recommendations, and help them find the perfect cuts of meat. Your expertise and warmth will create a welcoming atmosphere, enhancing the shopping experience for everyone who visits our store.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure cabinets and displays are well-stocked and attractively merchandised
• Collaborate effectively with team members to maintain smooth operations
• Wrap, label, and prepare meat and seafood products for sale
• Provide friendly and knowledgeable assistance to customers, including answering questions and offering recommendations
• Support the Seafood department as needed
• Uphold Health & Safety and Food Safety standards at all times

Shifts & Availability

This is a part-time, permanent position (not a summer or temporary role), with shifts every Friday and Saturday from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
