Butchery Knifehand New World Hastings
The Role
You’ll work alongside our experienced butchers to keep the department running smoothly and looking great. Your day will include:
- Cutting, trimming and preparing meat products
- Packing, merchandising and replenishing displays to ensure variety and availability
- Maintaining high standards of food safety, hygiene and cleanliness
- Completing temperature checks and traceability procedures
- Delivering excellent customer service and handling enquiries professionally
- Working collaboratively to meet daily production targets
What We’re Looking For
- Proven knifehand or butchery experience – essential
- Solid knife skills and knowledge of meat cuts
- Strong understanding of food safety and hygiene practices
- Ability to work under pressure in a refrigerated environment and handle physical demands including lifting
- Attention to detail and pride in presentation and quality
- Reliable, positive attitude with good communication and teamwork skills
- Flexibility to work early starts and weekends as required
