Butchery Manager

Are you passionate about butchery and looking to grow into a leadership role? New World Browns Bay is offering an exciting opportunity for someone ready to take on their first management position in our top-performing Butchery department.
We’re looking for a motivated individual with strong organisational skills, a great attitude, and a desire to lead and learn. You’ll be supported by an experienced team and leadership group as you develop your management skills and help us continue delivering high standards to our customers.
What we’re looking for:
- Previous experience in a butchery environment (senior butcher or team leader level)
- A positive, hands-on attitude and willingness to lead by example
- Strong organisational and planning skills
- A commitment to learning and growing in a leadership role
- Good understanding of Food Safety and Health & Safety standards
- Familiarity with SAP is a bonus (training can be provided)
- Experience with value-added products is an advantage
- Must have the right to work in New Zealand
- Rostered 40 hours per week
What you’ll be doing:
You’ll be responsible for helping plan and coordinate the day-to-day operations of the Butchery Department, supporting and guiding the team, and ensuring our customers receive the best service and product quality. Training and development will be provided to help you succeed in your new leadership role.
