Butchery Manager – PAK’nSAVE Palmerston North

Are you a skilled Butcher with proven leadership experience?
We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Butchery Manager to lead our busy butchery team here at PAK’nSAVE Palmerston North.

About the role:
As Butchery Manager, you will be responsible for the overall performance and smooth running of the butchery department. You’ll lead and develop a team of butchers and apprentices, ensuring top-quality products, excellent presentation, and outstanding customer service.

Key responsibilities:

• Lead, motivate, and develop the butchery team
• Oversee cutting, preparation, and presentation of meat to high standards
• Ensure compliance with food safety and health & safety regulations
• Manage department budgets, margins, and wage costs
• Plan and deliver promotional and seasonal activity
• Maintain high standards of quality, range, and availability for our customers

About you:

• Qualified butcher with proven retail butchery management experience
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and grow a team
• Excellent product knowledge and focus on quality
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• Ability to deliver results in a fast-paced retail environment
• A commitment to food safety and workplace health & safety
