New World Matamata is looking for an experienced Butchery Manager to lead our Butchery team. While butchery experience would be an advantage, we are open to candidates from retail, food, hospitality, or other management backgrounds who have proven leadership and team management skills.

About the Role

As Butchery Manager, you will be responsible for leading the department, developing a high-performing team, maintaining excellent standards, and ensuring our customers receive an outstanding shopping experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop the Butchery team.
• Create a positive and high-performing team culture.
• Manage rostering, productivity, and labour costs.
• Ensure excellent customer service and product presentation.
• Monitor stock levels, ordering, and inventory management.
• Drive department sales and profitability.
• Maintain food safety, health and safety, and compliance standards.
• Work closely with the wider leadership team to achieve store goals.
