Purpose of the position
As a Warehouse Assistant (Outbound) and member of the Service Team the responsibilities involve Picking, Replenishment and Dispatching of stock to customers. In addition, they will assist the other department management in achieving operational excellence.
The role is Casual, and the shifts offered can be Monday - Sunday 5pm - 01:30am. Please bear in mind that for night shifts, a full Driver's License gets you home legally after 10pm and so please do not apply if you have no reliable transport home as we care about your safety!

Picking Customer Orders
- Pick customer orders following the correct process
- Scan all items that you pick
- Ensure a high level of accuracy
- A median level of targeted per hour product lines should be achieved per shift
- A high level of attention to detail and concentration must be maintained to minimize errors
Packing Customer Orders
- Packing customer orders following the correct packing process
- Ensure that product is packed as per the food safety food separation policy
- Ensuring that once an order is packed it is labeled correctly and the carton count on the label matches the actual carton count
- Ensure the order is stacked in the correct zone location in the dispatch area
Stock Merchandising
- Ensure that stock is retrieved effectively to replenish the assigned areas from inwards and other locations
- Ensure that workload is prioritized as directed by the Manager
- Make note of out of stocks / over stocks and liaise effectively with Manager
- Assist in resolving any stock or count data related issues
- Assist in gap checking as required
- Assist in checking tickets and producing / changing tickets as required
- Ensure appropriate rotation of stock on the shelf and if placing stock back in the storeroom or other locations
- Ensure appropriate security of stock, personnel and plant at all times
Customer Service
- Ensure when 'picking' orders in store during opening hours, that a high level of customer service is provided. Acknowledge customers in store & accompany customers to another aisle if they have asked you where an item is and ensure they find it.
- Provide security surveillance of customers instore – report any unusual behavior to a supervisor
- Ensure when operating during trading hours, the impact on the customers is minimized.
Operational
- Undertakes appropriate housekeeping responsibilities as required
- Follow all health, safety, and food handling rules under the Health and Safety at Work Act 2015 and Food Act 2014. Keep yourself and others safe, use equipment properly, maintain good hygiene, and report any issues to your supervisor
- Adherence to appropriate in-store policies and procedures.

- Some previous retail experience is beneficial
- Must be comfortable working in cold environments, including periods of time in the freezer, which is maintained at approximately -18°C.
- Must be physically fit and able to safely lift up to 20kg
- Has an awesome work ethic - reliable, self-motivated, good time management, focused on providing outstanding service.
- Has a reasonable level of literacy and numeracy
- Having a forklift license and enjoying cold environments would also be a big advantage
