Casual Supermarket Assistants- New World Stratford

About the Role

As a Casual Team Member, you'll support our team across a range of departments, including:
  • Bakery
  • Deli and Seafood
  • Produce
  • Checkout
  • Grocery (Dry Goods)
  • Online Shopping
This is a varied role where no two days are the same. You'll work alongside experienced team members to ensure our store is well presented, fully stocked, and ready to provide our customers with the outstanding shopping experience they're accustomed to.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver exceptional customer service with a genuine smile.
  • Assist customers with enquiries and help create a welcoming shopping experience.
  • Replenish stock and merchandise products to a high standard.
  • Prepare and present fresh food in our Bakery, Deli and Produce departments.
  • Operate checkouts accurately and efficiently.
  • Maintain excellent food safety, health and safety, and hygiene standards.
  • Work collaboratively across departments to support the wider team.
  • Help keep the store clean, organised and looking its best.

About You

You'll be someone who:
  • Enjoys working with people and takes pride in providing excellent customer service.
  • Is reliable, honest and has a positive, can-do attitude.
  • Is flexible and available to work a variety of shifts, including weekends, evenings and public holidays.
  • Works well both independently and as part of a team.
  • Is eager to learn and happy to work across different departments.
  • Is physically fit and able to undertake manual tasks, including lifting, stocking shelves and standing for extended periods.
Previous supermarket, retail or hospitality experience is an advantage, but not essential. If you bring the right attitude and willingness to learn, we'll provide the training and support you need to succeed.
