Are you confident, organised, and ready to take the next step in your leadership journey? New World Point Chevalier is looking for an enthusiastic and reliable Checkout 2IC to support the Checkout Supervisor and help lead our busy front-end team.
Our Checkout Department is the heart of the store, creating lasting impressions for every customer. We’re looking for someone who can stay calm under pressure, think on their feet, and provide exceptional service, all while supporting the smooth day-to-day running of the department.
What You’ll Be Doing:
Leadership & Team Support- Providing daily support to the Checkout Supervisors to ensure efficient front-end operations
- Leading the checkout team during shifts, offering guidance, training, and encouragement
- Setting high standards around customer service and role-modelling positive behaviors
- Assisting with conflict resolution, escalated customer queries, and real-time problem solving
- Helping maintain a positive, engaged, and productive team environment
- Assisting with staff breaks, shift coordination, and checkout coverage planning
- Supporting training of new team members
- Ensuring store policies, procedures, and compliance standards are upheld
- Assisting with cash handling, start of day and end-of-day banking
- Completing basic administrative tasks, including reporting, documentation, and communication with wider store leadership
- Helping monitor presentation, cleanliness, and equipment on the front end

- Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy
- Able to multitask and thrive in a busy environment
- Comfortable working independently and as part of a team
- Good with numbers and a natural problem solver
- Ideally, you hold a current Liquor License, General Manager’s Certificate, or LCQ (not essential)

Hours for This Position:
- Sunday: 6:30am – 3:30pm
- Monday: 1:00pm – 10:00pm
- Tuesday: 1:00pm – 10:00pm
- Wednesday: 1:00pm – 10:00pm
- Thursday: 9:00am – 6:00pm
