Checkout Assistants - Part Time

The Checkout Department is the heart of the customer experience in our store. The role is all about providing friendly, efficient service—accurately scanning items and greeting customers with a smile. Maintaining a great conversation while working at a productive pace and ensuring accuracy is our top priority.

We have had a few roles become available now that we are through the slower Winter months, gearing up for a busy Summer!

Positions with hours and days as follows:

Position 1 - 14 hours per week:

• Monday 9.00am-4.30pm
• Sunday 9.00am-4.30pm

Position 2 - 8 hours per week:

• Monday 4.00pm-7.30pm
• Saturday 4.00pm-9.00pm

Position 3 - 7 hours per week:

• Wednesday 4.00pm-7.30pm
• Friday 3.30pm-7.00pm

Position 4 - 8 hours per week:

• Tuesday 4.00pm-8.00pm
• Friday 4.30pm-8.30pm

Though these positions are predominantly Checkout operation orientated, for any successful candidates that are 18 years old and above may have the possibility of being trained in Self Scan Checkouts, also.

• Absolute reliability - commitment to the job and willing and able to turn up and be on time
• Excellent attention to detail
• Flexibility - the opportunity to pick up extra shifts when available is common in the Checkout Department as we need to ensure all spots on the floor are covered at key times of the day
• Pride in delivering excellent service level
• The ability to follow instructions
