Checkout Manager / Duty Manager - NW Long Bay

Checkout Manager - Our checkout area sets the tone for the whole store and you will play a big part in the success of this.

New World Long Bay is looking for a new checkout manager who will also be one of our duty manager's and help cover some of the duty manager responsibilities. 

This is an exciting role, that has lots of room for opportunity and growth, and a space where you can bring your energy and make it your own. For this role we are looking for a strong leader, with a big customer service focus who can look after our community and checkout team.

The Role:

• Serve customers and be a key point of contact for customer queries. 
• Provide support to the checkout team by organizing breaks and managing customer flow.
• Process restricted purchases.
• Support the Lotto counter, cafe area (Coffee and Gelato)
• Staff rostering to budget and within the needs of the business
• Strong team communication
• Lead and manage the team

• Reliable, honest and be a good team player.
• Some flexibility required for covering shifts for annual leave and sickness
• A great leader, who can support their team and bring out the best in them
• Able to work alone and under pressure 
• Quick thinking for those last minute changes

Days and hours:

Monday: 9.30am-7.00pm

Tuesday: 8.30am-5.00pm

Wednesday: 1.00pm-10.00pm

Thursday:8.30am-5.00pm

Sunday: 1.00pm-10.00pm

An LCQ / General Managers certificate is preferred but not essential. But will be required for the job.
