Checkout Manager


 

New World Whangaparaoa is seeking a full time Checkout Manager. The successful candidate will lead a team of approximately 30 members, working closely with the Assistant Checkout Manager and Checkout Supervisors. 

This is a full-time permanent role must include one weekend day.

Checkout Manager, key responsibilities include:

· Effectively resolve all customer related enquiries and complaints.

· Reinforce and appropriately implement the businesses returns policy in all appropriate transactions.

· Ensure effective liaison with other departments to minimise delays in dealing with price / stock enquiries. ·

· Maintain security of the front end to ensure all products that leave the store are paid for.

· Ensure checkouts are set up daily and floats are managed.

· Optimise the staff roster to consistently maintain adequate staffing levels while aligning with wage percentage targets.

· Ensure staff follow Checkout processes and procedures incorporating the Steps to Quality Service.

 · Ensure all team members receive a thorough induction to the department, along with ongoing training and support.

· Guide all department members through targeted training to meet desired performance standards.

Experience desired:

  • Checkout Management experience
  • Industry experience.
